Lorraine Rekmans

Lorraine Rekmans is a distinguished Indigenous leader and advocate with extensive experience in environmental policy and Indigenous affairs. She has served as the Executive Director of the National Aboriginal Forestry Association, where she worked to promote sustainable forest management practices that respect Indigenous rights and knowledge. Lorraine has also been a strong voice in political arenas, focusing on issues such as environmental justice, Indigenous sovereignty, and community well-being.
In addition to her professional roles, Lorraine is a co-owner of a small business, contributing to both local and broader communities. Her goal is to bridge gaps, foster understanding, and advocate for policies that prioritize the rights of Indigenous communities.
Lorraine's leadership and dedication to Indigenous land stewardship have been instrumental in advancing discussions on sustainable resource management and cultural revitalization. Her commitment to these causes continues to inspire and drive meaningful change within Indigenous communities and beyond.
