Wahkohtowin is pleased to welcome Sara Bilodeau to the team. She joins us as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator (Advanced).

Using Design and Storytelling to Uplift Indigenous Voices
With roots in Quebec, Sara moved to Northern Ontario to discover new places, meet new people, and see what else the world had to offer. As an Indigenous ally, she brings a spirit of openness, reflection, and deep respect — for her work, and for the communities she hopes to uplift through it.
Sara’s path started in web programming, but she discovered her passion for visual storytelling in graphic design, graduating from Sault College in 2024. Before joining Wahkohtowin, she spent several years in people-focused roles that required strong communication and a deep understanding of people’s needs. That experience continues to inform her creative approach today.
In her role at Wahkohtowin, she’ll focus on raising awareness, promoting events, and using creativity as a tool to help strengthen relationships with community partners. Sara will also support the owner First Nations by sharing stories that reflect their strategic goals around Nation Building, Sovereignty, and Jurisdiction.
Sara is driven by a passion to use her creativity in impactful ways that help share Indigenous stories with care and respect. She views her role at Wahkohtowin as an opportunity to foster genuine connections and positive change. She is excited to collaborate with her colleagues and community members to amplify voices and celebrate the richness of Indigenous cultures. She invites everyone to join in this journey by engaging with the events and stories Wahkohtowin shares.
